Join TSA to begin the hiring process for the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) and Security Support Assistant (SSA) positions. Provided you pass each step, your day may consist of the following activities.

What to Expect

• Learn about the TSO and SSA positions and employment with TSA
• Complete TSO and SSA applications online (if you have not done so beforehand)
• Take a computer-based test (CBT) to evaluate English language proficiency and object recognition aptitude
• Participate in a structured interview
• Facemasks may be required, and all required health and safety protocols will be followed
• Hiring steps may vary by location
• Soon after the event you will complete a medical evaluation, federal drug screening, background investigation and fingerprinting

How to Prepare

• Apply in advance for quicker processing
• Resume and previous work experience are not required for your USAJOBS profile or the TSA application
