EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
 
CLUES offers a wide range of behavioral health and human services to Latino and diverse communities in Minnesota. In 2011, CLUES provided services to over 12,500 clients and their families in our six core service areas: Mental Health Services, Chemical Health Services, Aging Well Services, Family Services, Economic Advancement Services, and Community Health Worker Services.  We employ a fully bilingual and multicultural staff in order to deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate services in a nurturing environment where clients and families can overcome some of life’s most challenging issues. 
 
POSITION SUMMARY
 
To provide bilingual and culturally sensitive counseling, direct psychotherapy, in-home family therapy services, and group therapy for clients of all ages, especially Spanish speaking clients from the Latino community. To provide leadership and clinical supervision to staff in areas including but not limited to quality, outcome-based design, service relevance, delivery, effectiveness, and evaluation in congruency with the agency mission. 
 
Department: Family Services
Location: Twin Cities Metro Area
Schedule: Full-time, generally Monday-Friday standard office hours, with the flexibility to accommodate evening or weekend hours when necessary on occasion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Promote the mission, operating values, and agency services of CLUES within the community. 
  • Provide bilingual and culturally sensitive counseling and psychotherapy services to families, individuals, and groups of all ages.
  • Provide in-home family therapy services.
  • Serve as the primary therapist to develop a treatment plan that focuses on Intensive Family Engagement treatment.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions for clients of all ages.
  • Provide staff with credentialed case supervision and clinical consultation, in accordance with such standards as, but not limited to, the Minnesota Board of Social Work, Board of Licensed Marriage & Family Therapy and the Minnesota Mental Health Act and licensing standards maintained by the Minnesota Department of Health Licensing Division.
  • Consult with other Mental Health and Family Services staff, interns, and volunteers. Attend and facilitate case conferences sessions and other client staff meetings.
  • Participate in all internal and external activities required as stated in program contracts and per Rule 29 clinic licensure requirements.
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
  • This position has responsibility for clinical supervision of other staff.
 
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
 
Education and/or Experience 
  • Masters degree in Social Work with two years post-masters experience.
  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota (LICSW), and eligible to be credentialed with all major insurance companies.
  • Must meet Board of Social Work’s current requirements to provide clinical supervision.
  • Experience providing in-home therapy services required.
  • Group therapy facilitation experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English with cultural competency required.

  • Effective communication in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing, required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written materials, including reports, contracts, and proposals. 
  • Ability to effectively present ideas and information in and organized and effective manner, including writing reports.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and respond appropriately to questions from clients, co-workers, management and external parties.

Transportation
  • Must have a motor vehicle for independent transportation, valid driver’s license, proof of automotive insurance, and a good driving record
 
Mathematical Skills 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in common units of measure at a high school graduate level minimum required.
 
Reasoning Ability 
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
 
Computer Skills
  • Proficient working knowledge of email software, the Internet, databases, and common Windows-based programs, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. 
  • Must be willing to attend training to advance technical skills and maintain appropriate skill levels to perform job duties.
 
WORKING CONDITIONS
Background check
  • Must pass a criminal background check, driving record check, and MS-148A background check.
 
Physical Demands
  • Generally presents standard office environment.  Must be able to use telephone and computer on a regular basis.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Employee is regularly required to drive between multiple locations within metropolitan area.
