Senior Vice President (SVP), Business Development


About the Role:


As the Senior Vice President of Business Development, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's growth strategy and driving revenue expansion through the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities. Reporting directly to the CEO or another senior executive, you will lead a high-performing team of business development professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive results. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a strategic leader with a proven track record of success in business development and a strong ability to drive growth and profitability.


Essential Job Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market share across key markets and industries.
  • Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive performance and achieve targets.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, alliances, mergers, and acquisitions, to support the company's growth objectives.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact and driving customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product management, and finance, to ensure alignment and coordination of business development efforts.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with potential partners and clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to raise brand awareness, generate leads, and build relationships with key influencers.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of business opportunities, tracking progress and performance against targets and providing regular updates to senior leadership.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. A combination of education and relevant experience equivalent to the stated qualifications may be considered.
  • years of progressive experience in business development roles, with a demonstrated track record of success in driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable strategies to drive business growth.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and delivering exceptional results.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support business development efforts.
