As one of the leading privately owned neurology practices in the nation, the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology's mission is to provide exceptional, personalized neurologic care to our patients. We currently seek a Medical Records Clerk to fulfill a temporary need (3-4 months) in our Golden Valley office. This position works to obtain and release patient records according to defined procedure, process correspondence, scan patient information into Epic, and maintain overall organization of incoming and outgoing information. Will also answer phones for the department and perform mailroom activities, including delivery of mail throughout the Golden Valley office.
Hours are 8:00 - 4:30, Monday through Friday.
A high school diploma or GED is required. In addition, candidates must have experience working with medical records and knowledge of the rules and regulations around the release of medical record information. Must be accurate and detail-orientated with strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving ability, and the ability handle multiple priorities and deadlines. Must be patient/customer service focused and be able to carefully manage sensitive and confidential information. Proficiency with MS Office and electronic health record (preferably Epic) required.
