General Description

The Database Administrator plays a key part in maintaining server availability/uptime both in on-premiss and Azure hosted scenarios In this role, a person will be responsible for performance tuning misbehaving systems as issues arise, helping maintain the SQL Servers (patching and installing), and ensuring backups/maintenance is working. In addition, a person in this role will provide invaluable resources and assistance to database developers to help them obtain their goals. This position is part of a highly collaborative environment working with other skilled professionals which include but are not limited to developers, engineers, consultants to continuously improve database architecture and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain MS SQL Servers
  • Configure and maintain Windows Cluster/SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups
  • Plan, manage and optimized SQL server HA/DR policies and procedures
  • Create/migrate and deploy databases
  • Create and maintain database backup, maintenance and restore plans
  • Create automation for repeating database tasks
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance related issues
  • Create tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and report queries related to database administration
  • Assume other duties as such as data integration as needed

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
