Position Description

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - AFTERMARKET PRIVATE LABEL
Description
  • Plan and manage all direct sales responsibilities in the Private Label sales channel to optimize sales and profits consistent with Business Unit and Company policy, and objectives.
  • Formulate and implement effective strategic plans and annual operating plans which will achieve established sales and profit goals for the Private Label sales channel.
  • These plans will include long and shorter range sales, product, pricing and new business development activities to help achieve the Aftermarket Business Unit profit and growth objectives.
  • Responsible for global coordination of these efforts at assigned customers who have operations outside of the US / Canada
  • Develops, recommends and implements pricing strategies for assigned customers.
  • Prospects for, and develops new business opportunities that will contribute to long range growth.
  • Directs the efforts of account representatives and customer support personnel and others in implementing these plans.
  • Ensures that appropriate levels of staff support are assigned to customer related programs.
  • Effectively communicates with Engineering, Product Management, Plants, etc. to develop customer proposals designed to acquire new business.
  • Coaches/develops sales support staff to maximize their efforts.
  • Actively leads, proactively participates, and ultimately owns all APD projects for assigned customers.
  • Manages operating expenses at or below budget.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering and six to eight years of direct sales experience or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strategic planning and tactical implementation skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use accounting concepts to assess the implications of financial decisions/actions as they relate to business opportunities.
  • Experience leading others (preferred qualification)
